Le MSG est essentiellement un acide aminé utilisé comme exhausteur de goût des aliments. Il est utilisé pour rehausser la saveur des soupes en sachet et précuites, des cubes de bouillon, des vinaigrettes, des olives, de la charcuterie, de la cuisine chinoise et orientale, des chips, de la charcuterie, des condiments, des biscuits et des produits surgelés. 🥶
C’est un neurotoxique que plusieurs études portent sur la mort des neurones. Il surexcite les cellules, les endommage ou même les fait mourir. Elle est particulièrement déconseillée chez les personnes atteintes de maladies neurologiques (Parkinson, Alzheimer, épilepsie, trouble bipolaire, schizophrénie). 😫
Chez les personnes sensibles, il peut provoquer des maux de tête, des nausées et même des vomissements. Elle est liée à un risque plus élevé d’obésité car c’est un additif qui nous donne faim. 😨
D’autres effets négatifs du GSM qui ont été étudiés comprennent : un risque accru de crises d’asthme et d’allergies, des lésions oculaires, des pensées suicidaires, la dépression et la fatigue. 🥴
Le MSG peut être masqué sous différents noms, car de nombreux producteurs ne veulent pas le révéler et utilisent des techniques pour ne pas le montrer de manière simple dans les ingrédients du produit. 👀
